The rally in the yellow metal continues as global uncertainities continue to rise and remain stubborn. With US Federal Govt shut down adding fuel to the golden fire, investors are feeling uncertain about USD and investing in safe havens like Gold, Silver, Copper and even Palladium. Gold has now risen to another record high and is nearing the magical $4,000 an ounce mark. The yellow metal had touched $3,920.63/Oz levels and it corrected a bit but experts believe it can touch the 4k/Oz levels if uncertainity over US Federal govt shutdown continues. In India, the festive season is in full swing and people are buying Gold despite the rise in prices. Weddings, Diwali and gifting is adding to the demand for gold which has now touched Rs 12000/1 gms. Experts believe dips can be used to buy gold if you are a long term investor in gold.
The Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has said that the Delhi government will approach the Supreme Court to allow people to burst green firecrackers this Diwali adding that since Deepawali is an important festival for India, this is being considered seriously by the govt. She said, “Keeping in mind the sentiments of crores of people in Delhi, our government has requested the Supreme Court to allow the use of green firecrackers in Delhi during the festival.” “All green firecrackers must be manufactured by authorised agencies and certified by competent and relevant departments,” she added.
A senior SC bench headed by CJI B R Gavai told the Central govt to relook at 'absolute ban' on the manufacture of firecrackers in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR).
“In the meantime, we permit the manufacturers who are having the certification of green crackers as certified by NEERI (National Environmental Engineering Research Institute) as well as PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation) to manufacture."
Post the sudden deployment of Ram Air Turbine (RAT) in another Air India flight, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is seriously investigating as to how the emergency power system got activated midair on the Birmingham bound flight. The Indian watchdog is probing the matter as the flight did not show any mechanical issues and flew from Amritsar to Birmingham on Oct. 4. The crew onboard the flight AI117 detected that RAT had deployed during final approach of the aircraft and this was confirmed by Air India in a statement issued on 5th October. “All electrical and hydraulic parameters were found normal, and the aircraft performed a safe landing” at its destination," the statement added. The aircraft has been grounded for further safety checks. This alarming incident reminds of the June Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad which crashed in 30 seconds after take off and RAT had been deployed. 241 out of 242 passengers and crew were killed in the horrific plane crash which is still being investigated by the DGCA.
Indian Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi has given Pakistan a warning saying that If Pakistan wants to remain on the world map then it should stop supporting terrorism. He added that in Operation Sindoor 1.0 we kept our restraint but in Operation 2.0 we will not hold back and go all out. He was speaking to the soldiers at Anupgarh, Sriganganagar in Rajasthan. "India, as a country, is fully prepared this time. And this time, it will not show the restraint that it showed during Operation Sindoor 1.0. This time we will take a step forward and act in a manner that will make Pakistan think whether it wants to remain on the world map or not," PTI quotes Indian Army Chief. "Keep yourselves fully prepared now, if God wants, the opportunity will come soon," he said. “We had identified the targets because we only wanted to harm the terrorists," he added.
